JUDY DYBLE MEMORIAL WEEKEND
July 9th and 10th July 2022
Venue: Manor Farm, Somerton Road, Ardley, Oxfordshire, OX27 7NS
Charity event in aid of The Barley Greyhound Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support
We are very excited to announce a weekend event in honour of the legendary Judy Dyble, to commemorate and celebrate her life and music.
Saturday evening will be headlined by 'Ric and Vo', featuring Fairport Convention’s Ric Sanders, with Vo Fletcher:
The Sunday afternoon will culminate with 'The Band of Perfect Strangers' and guests, performing a selection of music spanning Judy's musical career. [continued - please click title for much more info...]
We are particularly pleased to confirm that Judy's daughter, Stephanie Hellsten, will be joining us as one of the vocalists.
We will also be joined by exemplary multi-instrumentalist Brian Gulland from 'Gryphon' on some of the songs.
We also pay tribute to Judy's dear friend and collaborator David Longdon, who so sadly passed away recently.
Prior to this tragedy David had given his permission for us to play a song from the 'Dyble/Longdon Album', so we will be performing the opening track, 'Astrologers' in tribute to both Judy and David.
We hope to do it justice!
